Service Description
For students entering Kinder through 3rd grade, no prior music lessons necessary. Levels: Beginner through Late Elementary. Must be at least 5 years old at time of camp and entering Kindergarten in fall 2023. Explore, Discover, Create! Piano Camp is a discovery-based experience that fosters independent learning at the piano. Campers will explore the fundamentals of piano and music in a fun and creative way. Campers will enjoy learning as a group in a fun, collaborative environment which will explore listening, theory basics, ear training, and more! Aural enrichment will include a week-long exploration of Mother Goose Suite by Ravel. Students will enjoy listening and participating in interactive activities as they experience an imaginative landscape of sound. Piano Camp is an ideal preliminary step for traditional one-on-one piano lessons. It is also a great way for current students to review their piano knowledge and continue to build their skills. Any supplies for camp will be covered in the registration fee, except for books. Current piano students will need to bring their own piano books, and beginner students may need to purchase a book at the teachers' discretion on first day of camp (cost of about $10).
