Service Description

For students entering Kinder through 3rd grade, no prior music lessons necessary. Levels: Beginner through Late Elementary. Must be at least 5 years old at time of camp and entering Kindergarten in fall 2022. Explore, Discover, Create! Piano Camp is a discovery-based experience that fosters independent learning at the piano. Campers will explore the fundamentals of piano and music in a fun and creative way. Camp sessions will consist of musical based movement, group discovery, small group centers, semi-private lessons, and performance practices that are age appropriate for our campers. Aural enrichment will include a week-long exploration of Carnival of the Animals by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns. Campers will enjoy listening and participating in interactive activities as they walk through Saint-Saën's imaginative and colorful sound landscape. Piano Camp is an ideal preliminary step for traditional one-on-one piano lessons. It is also a great way for current students to review their piano knowledge and continue to build their skills.
