Beginners welcome! Join our Intro to knitting class at Make. And when I say learn to knit, all you really need to know are 4 basic steps: cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and bind off. Each week you'll learn something new. Practice between our classes will be an important part of your knitting journey. Repetition will help solidify your knowledge, and inevitably you'll make mistakes. When you return to class you'll have a seasoned knitter to help you correct your mistakes. Class fee covers 3 one and half hour sessions over the course of 3 weeks. Yarn and needles not included in class fee. Once you register for the class, you will receive a google form for yarn selection and instructions to make payment (due in class). Because all yarn must be pre-purchased, please register by Tuesday, Feb 14. We will be using a luxuriously squishy, and very warm Malabrigo Rasta yarn. It is a favorite for knitting up scarves and hats. Rasta comes in a rainbow of colors and is a super bulky yarn -- the thicker the yarn, the faster the knit. (Always important for your first knitting adventure!) Our first project will be a flat knit neck cowl with button closure. Stay tuned for project photos!
